IzzaStyle (“we,” “us,” or “our”) operates the IzzaStyle mobile application (the “App”), available on iOS and Android. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, share, and protect your personal data when you use our App and related services. We are committed to safeguarding your privacy and handling your data transparently.
IzzaStyle is operated as a sole proprietorship based in India. By using the App, you agree to the collection and use of information as described in this policy. Where applicable, this policy is designed to comply with the Information Technology Act, 2000 and its associated rules (including the IT (Reasonable Security Practices and Procedures and Sensitive Personal Data or Information) Rules, 2011), the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), and other relevant data protection laws.
Information We Collect
We collect information that you provide directly, information generated through your use of the App, and information obtained from third-party authentication providers. Below is a detailed breakdown of each category.
1.1 Account Information
When you create an account, we collect:
- Email address and display name
- Authentication provider details — depending on how you sign up, we
receive information from one of the following:
- Email and password (securely managed through our authentication service)
- Apple ID (name and email as provided by Apple)
- Google ID (name and email as provided by Google)
We do not store your third-party passwords. Authentication is handled securely through industry-standard authentication services and the respective identity providers.
1.2 Body & Biometric Data
This category includes data that may be considered sensitive or biometric under certain jurisdictions. We treat this data with heightened care and additional safeguards. See Section 4: Biometric Data Notice for full details.
To provide personalised body analysis and styling recommendations, we may collect:
- Physical attributes: height, weight, and gender
- Body shape analysis: AI-determined body shape classification
- Body measurements: shoulder width, chest circumference, waist circumference, hip circumference, torso length, and leg length
- Body fat estimate: an approximate body fat percentage derived from your measurements
- Posture analysis: assessment of posture characteristics from scan data
- Body scan photos: front-facing and side-facing photos captured during the body scan process, stored securely on encrypted cloud storage
- Pose keypoints: skeletal coordinate data detected by your device’s camera during body scans
- Measurement confidence scores: accuracy indicators associated with each measurement
1.3 Clothing & Wardrobe Data
When you add items to your digital wardrobe, we collect:
- Clothing photos: images of your clothing items, stored on encrypted cloud storage
- AI-detected attributes: category, subcategory, colour, pattern, season suitability, and occasion tags automatically identified by our AI
- Brand information: brand detection and verification results
- Usage tracking: wear count and last worn date for each item
- Organisation data: favourites status and archive status
1.4 Style & Preference Data
To personalise your styling experience, we collect your expressed and inferred preferences:
- Stated preferences: style vibes, favourite colours, colours to avoid, fit preferences, budget range, preferred brands, and materials to avoid
- AI-derived profiles: taste vectors including luxury score, brand affinity, and style profile — generated through analysis of your wardrobe and stated preferences
- Affinity analytics: colour affinity and category affinity scores derived from your wardrobe data
1.5 AI Interaction Data
When you use our AI styling features, we collect:
- Chat conversations: messages exchanged with “Ana,” our AI stylist
- Generated content: outfit suggestions, Style DNA analysis results, and occasion-based outfit recommendations produced by the AI
- Usage metrics: token usage associated with AI feature interactions
1.6 Device & Technical Data
We collect limited device information necessary for app functionality:
- Push notification token: a device-specific identifier used for delivering push notifications
- Device platform: whether you are using iOS or Android
- Sensor access: camera and motion sensor data used during body scan features (processed on-device where possible)
1.7 Usage Analytics
We collect usage data to understand how the App is used and to improve our services:
- Activity events: event type, entity type, and associated metadata (e.g., which features you use and how frequently)
- Notification logs: delivery status and interaction data for push notifications
How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect for the following purposes:

We process your data based on the following legal grounds: your consent (particularly for biometric and sensitive data), performance of a contract (providing the services you signed up for), our legitimate interests (improving and securing the App), and compliance with legal obligations.
How We Store & Protect Your Data
We take the security of your personal data seriously and implement industry-standard measures to protect it.
Infrastructure
Our services are hosted on industry-leading cloud infrastructure with the following safeguards:
- Encrypted cloud storage: Secure storage for body scan photos and clothing images, with server-side encryption enabled
- Managed database: A managed relational database for structured data (account information, measurements, wardrobe data, preferences), encrypted at rest
- Secure API hosting: Our API backend runs on secure, managed compute services
- Content delivery network: Fast and secure delivery of assets through a global CDN
- Managed authentication: Industry-standard authentication service handling user sign-up, sign-in, and access control
Security Measures
- Encryption in transit: All data transmitted between your device and our servers is encrypted using TLS (Transport Layer Security)
- Encryption at rest: Data stored in our cloud infrastructure is encrypted at rest using AES-256 encryption
- Access controls: Strict access controls and authentication mechanisms limit access to personal data to authorised systems and personnel only
- Secure authentication: Passwords are never stored in plain text; authentication is managed through industry-standard hashing and security protocols
While we employ robust security measures, no method of electronic storage or transmission is 100% secure. We continuously review and improve our security practices to protect your data.
Biometric Data Notice
Body measurements, body scan photos, body shape analysis, body fat estimates, posture analysis, and pose keypoints may constitute biometric or sensitive personal data under the laws of certain jurisdictions (including but not limited to the GDPR, Indian IT Act, and US state biometric privacy laws). We provide this notice to ensure full transparency about how we handle this data.

Purpose & Consent
This data is collected solely to provide you with accurate body analysis, personalised fit recommendations, and styling advice. We collect this data only when you actively initiate a body scan within the App, and only with your informed consent.
How It Is Stored
Body scan photos are stored in encrypted cloud storage. Body measurements and related data are stored in our encrypted database. All biometric data is associated with your account and is not made publicly accessible.
Retention & Deletion
Your biometric data is retained only for as long as your account is active and you choose to keep it. You may delete individual body scans at any time from within the App. When you delete your account, all biometric data, including scan photos and measurements, is permanently deleted from our systems.
No Sale or Sharing for Unrelated Purposes
We do not sell your biometric data. We do not share your biometric data with third parties for purposes unrelated to providing the App’s core features. Biometric data is not sent to any third-party AI provider.
AI & Automated Processing
IzzaStyle uses artificial intelligence to provide personalised styling recommendations. This section explains how your data is processed by AI systems, including third-party AI services.
On-Device AI Processing
Certain AI features operate directly on your device, including:
- Pose keypoint detection during body scans (using your device’s camera and processing capabilities)
- Initial image processing for clothing photo capture
Server-Side AI Processing
Our servers perform AI processing for:
- Clothing attribute detection (category, colour, pattern, season, occasion, brand)
- Body shape analysis and measurement calculation
- Style profile generation and taste vector computation
- Colour and category affinity analytics
Third-Party AI Services
Our AI stylist “Ana” and certain outfit generation features are powered by third-party AI models. When you use these features, the following data may be sent to our AI service provider:
- Your clothing wardrobe data (item attributes such as category, colour, brand, and occasion tags)
- Your style preferences (style vibes, favourite colours, fit preferences, budget range)
- Your chat messages with Ana
- Contextual information needed to generate relevant outfit recommendations (e.g., occasion, weather)
What is NOT sent to AI providers: Your body scan photos, raw body measurements, biometric data, account credentials, or email address are not transmitted to any third-party AI service.
Our AI service provider processes this data to generate responses and outfit suggestions. Your data is subject to our AI service provider’s data usage policies. We select AI service providers that do not use data submitted via their API to train their models.
Automated Decision-Making
AI-generated outfit suggestions, style classifications, and attribute detections are automated outputs. These outputs are provided as recommendations and do not constitute binding decisions. You are always free to disregard AI suggestions and manage your wardrobe and style choices as you see fit.
Data Sharing & Third-Party Services
We do not sell your personal data. We share your data only with the third-party service providers necessary to operate the App, as described below:

In addition to the above, we may disclose your data in the following limited circumstances:

- Safety & fraud prevention: to protect the rights, safety, or property of IzzaStyle, our users, or the public
- Business transfers: in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, in which case your data would remain subject to this Privacy Policy or a policy at least as protective
Data Retention
We retain your personal data in accordance with the following principles:
- Active account: Your data is retained for as long as your account remains active and you continue to use the App.
- Account deletion: When you delete your account, we permanently delete all
your personal data from our systems, including:
- Account information and authentication data
- Body scan photos and all biometric data
- Clothing photos and wardrobe data
- Style preferences and AI-derived profiles
- Chat history with Ana
- Usage analytics linked to your account
- Deletion timeline: Upon account deletion, we aim to remove all personal data within 30 days. Some data may be retained in encrypted backups for a limited period before being permanently purged through our regular backup rotation cycle.
- Legal obligations: We may retain certain data for a longer period if required to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, or enforce our agreements.
Your Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data:
- Right of access: You can request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
- Right to correction: You can request that we correct inaccurate or incomplete personal data.
- Right to deletion: You can request deletion of your personal data by deleting your account through the App or by contacting us. We will delete all your data as described in the Data Retention section above.
- Right to data portability: You can request your data in a structured, commonly used, machine-readable format.
- Right to withdraw consent: Where processing is based on your consent, you can withdraw that consent at any time. Withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before withdrawal.
- Right to restrict processing: In certain circumstances, you can request that we restrict the processing of your data.
- Right to object: You can object to processing based on our legitimate interests.

India IT Act Rights
If you are located in India, you have rights under the Information Technology Act, 2000 and the IT (Reasonable Security Practices and Procedures and Sensitive Personal Data or Information) Rules, 2011, including the right to access and correct your personal data, and the right to withdraw consent for the collection, use, or disclosure of your sensitive personal data or information.
EU/EEA GDPR Rights
If you are located in the European Union or European Economic Area, you have additional rights under the GDPR, including the right to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.
Children’s Privacy
IzzaStyle is not intended for use by children under the age of 13 (or under 16 in jurisdictions where a higher age of consent applies). We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under these ages.
Given that the App collects body measurements and scan photos, we take this restriction particularly seriously. If we become aware that we have collected personal data from a child under the applicable age threshold, we will take immediate steps to delete that data from our systems.

Push Notifications
We use a push notification service to deliver notifications to your device. These notifications may include:
- Outfit suggestions and styling tips
- Reminders and app updates
- Service-related announcements
When you enable push notifications, a device-specific push token is generated and stored on our servers. This token does not contain any personally identifiable information beyond what is necessary to deliver notifications to your device.
You can disable push notifications at any time through your device’s system settings. Disabling notifications will not affect the core functionality of the App.
Camera & Sensor Permissions
The App requests access to the following device capabilities:
Camera
Camera access is used for two core features:
- Body scanning: Capturing front and side photos to generate body measurements and shape analysis
- Wardrobe photos: Photographing clothing items to add to your digital wardrobe
Camera access is requested only when you initiate one of these features. Photos are uploaded to our secure encrypted cloud storage. You can revoke camera access at any time through your device settings, though this will limit certain App features.
Motion Sensors
During body scans, the App may access device motion sensors (accelerometer and gyroscope) to assist with positioning guidance and scan accuracy. Motion sensor data is processed on-device in real-time and is not stored or transmitted to our servers.
Cookies & Tracking
IzzaStyle is a native mobile application and does not use browser cookies.
We collect usage analytics as described in Section 1.7 (activity events and notification logs) for the purpose of improving the App and understanding feature usage. This data is linked to your account and is not shared with third-party advertising networks.
We do not use third-party tracking pixels, advertising SDKs, or cross-app tracking identifiers. We do not participate in any advertising networks or sell usage data to advertisers.
International Data Transfers
IzzaStyle is based in India. Our primary infrastructure is hosted on secure cloud servers.
By using the App, your data may be transferred to and processed in:
- Cloud infrastructure regions — primary data storage and processing on secure cloud servers
- United States — when AI stylist features are used, relevant wardrobe and preference data is sent to our AI service provider’s API
- Various locations — push notification infrastructure may process notification tokens in their service regions
Where data is transferred outside of India or the EEA, we ensure appropriate safeguards are in place, including contractual protections consistent with applicable data protection laws (such as Standard Contractual Clauses for transfers from the EEA, or reliance on the data protection frameworks of the receiving jurisdiction).
Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, technology, legal requirements, or other factors. When we make changes:
- We will update the “Effective Date” at the top of this page.
- For material changes (particularly those affecting biometric data handling, new third-party data sharing, or significant changes to data processing), we will notify you via push notification or an in-app notice before the changes take effect.
- Your continued use of the App after any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Privacy Policy.
